Our Islamic Studies program uses the MESBA curriculum — a structured, level-based framework used by full-time Islamic schools across North America. Children learn the beliefs, practices, history and manners of Islam in an age-appropriate sequence that deepens each year, so that knowledge grows alongside akhlaq (character) and a living connection to Allah and His Messenger ﷺ.
What Children Learn
The MESBA framework covers the core areas of Islamic knowledge, revisited at a deeper level each year as the child advances.
The foundations of faith: belief in Allah, His angels, books, messengers, the Last Day, and divine decree.
How to practice Islam correctly: purification, salah, sawm, zakah and the etiquette of worship.
Selected authentic ahadith with their meanings and lessons for daily life.
The life, character and example of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ as a model to love and follow.
The stories of the prophets and the great figures and events of Islamic history.
Islamic character and good conduct — honesty, kindness, patience, and the values of a believer.
The manners and etiquette of daily life, and the du'as (supplications) for everyday occasions.
How We Teach It
Each topic returns every year with more depth, matched to the child's age and stage.
What's learned in class is practiced in the school day — salah, manners, and du'as lived daily.
